of Art for our Publication Covers
Local artists are encouraged to submit art
for consideration for use on the covers of Inside East
Sacramento, Inside The City and Inside Arden.
We accept art images as (in order or
preference)
1.
Digital images sent via email to
publisher@insidepublications.com.
If an image is accepted it will need to be sent on a CD-Rom in a
higher quality digital image and should be at least 10” wide and
8” in height and 300 dpi to be of high enough quality to
reproduce on our covers.

Photographs of you art. They can be
any size but large enough to see details. 4” by 6” and larger is
preferred. Please make sure that the colors in the photographs
are representative of the actual colors in the art. Professional
photography is given preference.
Other information:
If your art is selected you will need to
provide us via email (preferred) or mail with a 50-70 word
artist statement about your art work in general, along with
contact and/or gallery information. You will also need to email
or mail a photograph of yourself. It can be color or black and
white, and is sized at about 1.5” by 2.5” in the publication.
Is your art is selected you will be paid $50
for use of the image per publication. We also reserve the right
to use the image on the cover as part of our own advertising and
promotional materials. We will need your full name, address and
phone number. If your art is selected you will be mailed a full
size color laser print of the cover.
We tend to select art images from local
artists that represent natural landscapes of our area,
cityscapes, home portraits, seasonally-related still lifes,
people, and even their pets. Occasionally we select more
abstract images. We will not accept images from travel
outside of Sacramento. We need images that are generally
bright and colorful. Black and white images are not
acceptable. It is best that you provide us with as many images
as possible of your work for us to choose from.
We accept the following media:
watercolor, oil, colored pencil, acrylic, and photographs that
have been artistically altered. Collage and multi-media
works are not usually acceptable.
